Sometimes, people don’t really think about the hold that design has on the world. The combination of art and technology is absolutely integral in the modern era, and it’s what makes living interesting and comfortable. Walking through the airport, ordering food on a mobile app, or going to a dentist appointment could be intimidating or bothersome if not for the effort of designers to make the experience engaging and pleasant.
For someone like Nicole Barth, it took exploring the design concentration at Hofstra University and subsequently taking on digital design jobs to truly understand this impact. And now, she’s made quite the impact herself; Barth co-founded a design firm called Ronik, and in running this company, she utilizes the creative exploration that she learned in order to foster the optimal working environment for staff and clients alike. In Barth’s words, “There’s so much to learn. Too much to learn,” and even as a top employer, she hasn’t stopped her drive to learn—and that’s what makes her a great creative mind in an ever-developing society.
